Gibraltar Solutions Partnering With Cisco to Architect Advanced Datacenter

TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 02/13/13 -- Gibraltar Solutions proudly announces that the company has signed a partnership agreement with Cisco with the intent on achieving Cisco's authorization for Advanced Datacenter Architecture and Advanced Unified Fabric Technology.

The partnership with Cisco marks an extraordinary milestone for Gibraltar. Gibraltar will be joining a short list of companies in Canada with proven ability and experience of architecting, deploying and managing advanced virtualization and cloud solutions across multiple hardware platforms.

"The converging forces of social media, mobile and cloud are dramatically impacting how businesses in Canada view and consume IT services," said Gibraltar Solutions VP of Access Infrastructure Solutions and Chief Security Officer, Trent Dilkie. "To meet these changing needs, the next generation of IT solutions will be highly integrated for simpler management and highly scalable for lower cost of computing. We believe Cisco's UCS platform achieves these objectives."

"In addition to the technological meritocracy of UCS, we are pleased and honoured to be partnering with a company of Cisco's calibre," adds Gibraltar Solutions CEO, Don Lee. "This partnership is also a testament to Gibraltar's commitment to being a one-stop shop where customers can come to choose the best solution for their business needs."

"Building on a shared vision of computing in the virtualization and cloud era, we are committed and look forward to working with Gibraltar in a relentless pursuit of bringing innovative solutions to our joint customers in Canada," said Mike Ansley, Cisco Canada's Vice President, Canadian Partner Organization.

"Combining our newly developed Cisco capabilities with our existing Citrix, Microsoft and VMware practice, I believe Gibraltar is uniquely positioned in the market to bring very powerful and compelling virtualization and cloud solutions to our clients," said Gibraltar Solutions Marketing Director, Louis Le.
