Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

Silicon Legal Strategy Hires Brendan Herron, Former Kirkland & Ellis LLP Associate

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/08/13 -- Silicon Legal Strategy today announced the addition of Brendan Herron as the newest associate in its San Francisco office, marking the firm's second strategic hire in 2013.

Brendan brings his expertise in advising startups, entrepreneurs, venture capital funds and angel investors in venture financings, M&A transactions and high stakes commercial agreements to the growing team at SLS. He provides SLS clients with day-to-day counseling across the range of legal issues facing early and growth-stage businesses.

Prior to joining SLS, Brendan was at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago, where he represented private equity and venture capital funds and their portfolio companies in M&A transactions, equity and debt financings, public offerings and key strategic business relationships. At K&E, Brendan concentrated his practice on emerging companies, financial sponsors and transactions in the technology space, working with investors such as Summit Partners and Golden Gate Capital and their tech-based portfolio companies.

Brendan earned his B.A. from Duke University and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.

"The strength of SLS is evident from the quality of its robust client roster to its deep relationships with startups, entrepreneurs and VCs in the tech community," said Brendan Herron. "SLS's unique approach to providing superior counsel and advice at value to its clients drew me in and I look forward to being part of such a talented, client-focused team."

"Brendan's deep transactional experience and his passion for startups will be a great value to our clients, and we're excited to welcome him to the SLS family," said Andre Gharakhanian, partner at Silicon Legal Strategy. "By attracting top talent from other firms and sustaining momentum, we continue to bolster our presence in the market."
