BATON ROUGE, LA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/07/13 -- Continuing to nurture its leadership as a provider of business continuity, cloud services and battle-tested data recovery solutions, Venyu today announced Louisiana Technology Park as the latest customer leveraging their new cloud-based services. Providing an incubation environment to start-up companies, the Tech Park is making use of Venyu's secure and highly-redundant data center features to empower entrepreneurs with enterprise-class, IT resources on a tight budget. For more information, please see the full Tech Park case study at: http://www2.venyu.com/LATechPark
The Louisiana Technology Park is one of the South's premier business incubators, providing high tech start-ups with the resources to bring products and services to market faster and more effectively. The Tech Park delivers businesses with everything they need to get up and running quickly -- from office space and utilities to personnel and equipment.
"Our goal is to be more than a technology incubator. We aim to function as a critical resource -- capable of injecting instant business enhancers and supplements to speed our clients' growth," said Stephen Loy, Executive Director, Louisiana Technology Park. "But to bring this additional value to fruition, we must provide the technology solutions to back it up."
Key to ensuring client success: providing entrepreneurs with access to highly redundant, secure data centers, offering cloud back-up and support services. Loy continues: "For our clients to remain competitive, we must go beyond office space and shared services. Today's competitive business environment is all about data and the applications that drive information. Venyu helps us ensure our clients have access to critical data center resources from the start."
From the beginning, the Tech Park worked with Venyu to construct the right infrastructure to support its growing customer base. The Park and its clients make use of Venyu's commercial data center -- offering robust network platforms engineered to avoid any single point-of-failure in connectivity, power, or environmental conditioning. The data center also provides the highest levels of restricted physical and network access -- allowing only authorized individuals to work with or around proprietary data.
"When an entrepreneur is trying to sign a new customer, the last thing they need is to appear ill-equipped to store and manage critical information. To house a server in the corner of your office and expect the customer to hand over all their data is just unreasonable. With Venyu, our tenants can access world-class data center resources -- without spending the time or money to build these services themselves," Loy said.
The hosted Venyu solution provides Tech Park members with the confidence that data will always be available and accessible when needed. Given the increased threat of natural disasters, companies are demanding reliable back-up to ensure information is always protected -- as any lost time can significantly impact revenue.
"To get ahead, new businesses must be able to run at a 24 x 7 pace. They don't have time to shut down if Mother Nature throws in a storm or two. Venyu is battle tested and keeps our clients on a 24 x 7 pace -- so they can continue to make sales calls and get business done," Loy added.
Moving forward, the Tech Park anticipates expanding its engagement with Venyu as it takes on additional business -- as Venyu provides the flexibility and scalability necessary to support growth on-demand. Loy concluded, "A large part of our success can be directly attributed to our relationship with Venyu. As we continue to grow, there are really no boundaries as to what we can accomplish together."
"Entrepreneurs need to take advantage of many IT business tools in order to help them grow," said Scott Thompson, Venyu Chief Executive Officer. "Through the Louisiana Technology Park, Venyu is extending the same IT cloud-based services used by larger enterprise organizations to start-up companies -- empowering them with cost-effective, on-demand data processing power to succeed."
