Beat Those February Blues
Fun & Fabulous Events all Benefitting the Calgary Food Bank

CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/05/13 -- Feeling a little post-holiday letdown? Wondering how to fill your cold, dark February nights? The following events are being hosted by our friends in the Calgary community, with the proceeds coming straight to the Calgary Food Bank. Have a little fun while doing a lot of good!

Until March 4

When: on now!

What: The Royal Canadian Mint starts melting pennies today. But wait! The penny has been good to us - we bought penny candy, we tossed pennies in wishing wells, we played penny poker, we taped pennies to kites tails so they flew better, we picked pennies up for good luck, we dove for pennies, we even offered loved ones a penny for their thoughts! Don't they deserve the opportunity for one last act of good? With the help of Servus Credit Union, you can send your pennies into retirement proudly! Until March 4, all Calgary Servus Credit Union branches will gladly accept your pennies on behalf of the Calgary Food Bank. And the Food Bank will turn those pennies into pasta, potatoes or pork chops!
