Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

AFDEL Establishes New U.S. Presence in Boston

AFDEL, the French Association of Software Publishers and Internet Solutions, today announced it is continuing its strategic international expansion with the opening of a new liaison office in Boston. Through its new presence on the east coast, AFDEL will be able to better provide support to entrepreneurs establishing new ventures as well as help existing companies to expand their networks for business advantage and form deeper connections with customers, partners and prospects.

“Given the continued fast pace of technology innovation and globalization, this was an ideal time to expand our footprint to ensure we are best aligned to support the needs of our growing membership base,” said Jamal Labed, President of AFDEL. “As the technology market continues to trend towards mobility, cloud, social, and big data, the opportunity for new and established software companies is huge and we want to make sure that our existing and future members have the appropriate resources they need to take advantage of that potential.”

To mark the geographic expansion and launch of its presence in Boston, AFDEL, with the help and support of Jérôme Malavoy, founder and CEO of TraceOne, will be hosting a networking cocktail reception on February 21, 2013 from 6 – 8 pm EST. The event will be held at TraceOne’s Boston headquarters and will feature remarks and insights from Fabien Fieschi, Consul General of France in Boston, as well as Malavoy and Labed.

“As a current member and a French software company ourselves, we are delighted to be working in close association with AFDEL to launch a Boston office to help other French entrepreneurs and executives,” said Malavoy. “Having recently opened TraceOne’s headquarters in Boston, I know how valuable it is to have access to the right people and resources as you get acclimated and look to grow quickly.”

According to an AFDEL survey of 60 Boston-area French Software companies invited to the launch event, executives expect to add approximately 1,000 new employees in the next 12 to 18 months. For more information or to RSVP for the networking event, please visit here.
