BERLIN -- (Marketwire) -- 02/05/13 -- Korsair Holdings AG (BERLIN: NOM), a technology and development company specializing in green technology investments and renewable energy projects, announces that it has entered into a partnership to design and market High-Tech accumulator devices under the name RUCELL. The new and highly competitive product line of high-capacity accumulators and accumulator systems is based on Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) and will be designed particularly for the use in "green energy" related projects. The primary markets for Korsair to promote and sell the LFP accumulators will be in Europe and Africa. The LFP accumulators are manufactured at a recently completed state of the art $400 million plant with total annual capacity of in excess 1 Giga watt located in Russia. The LFP-based accumulator technology, which will be used in the future Korsair accumulator product lines, has been developed by a Chinese-Russian Joint Venture in close cooperation with engineering teams, scientists and universities. LFP storage technology is the most advanced large-scale rechargeable accumulator technology today, offering unprecedented power density and operating temperature range without safety concerns. LFP accumulators offer even further advances, such as up to 25-year life cycle, over 3,000 charge cycles and rapid 20 minute charge time to 85% capacity, as well as 20 minute discharge time. According to Steven Huynh, CEO of Korsair, "Being able to offer these High-Tech LFP accumulators to our customers would allow Korsair to provide a complete package of products and services to our customer reflecting progress made in our business plan that calls for bringing together technology, finance, and expertise in the alternative energy, waste energy, clean energy, clean water, clean air and other green technologies." Mr. Huynh further commented, "We will be starting to design different devices of the LFP accumulators in order to offer and provide world class LFP accumulators to the particular needs of customers in Europe and Africa. LFP accumulators are used in a number of fields from transportation to solar and wind power generation, to auxiliary power storage and UPS systems."
