Frootfal Holdings Limited Appoints Siobhan Macdermott as Executive Chairman

Frootfal Holdings Limited, a leader in cash-back application technology that enables consumers to shop online and earn rewards anytime they buy, today announced that Siobhan MacDermott has been appointed its Executive Chairman. MacDermott is currently the Chief Policy Officer of AVG Technologies (NYSE: AVG) and was formerly AVG’s Head of Investor Relations. Prior to joining Frootfal, Ms. MacDermott served as vice president of global corporate and executive communications and interim chief marketing officer for McAfee, a wholly owned subsidiary of Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) and has held numerous management positions in the security and mobile industries.

“We’re excited to have Siobhan join our Board to help us shape Frootfal’s direction,” said Graham Skelton, CEO of Frootfal. “Her global expertise and security industry history will be a great asset as we continue to expand into the US and other global markets.”

“I look forward to working with the Frootfal management team as we enter the US market,” said MacDermott. “Frootfal’s dedication to building a secure cash-back platform from the ground up impressed me, and I hope my experience in privacy and security will add value to the management team as we move through this exciting new phase of growth.”

Michael Colopy, President of the US subsidiary, Frootfal Media Inc. and an early backer of the British parent, welcomed MacDermott as uniquely qualified for the post: “I am delighted that Siobhan has agreed to join the team’” Mr. Colopy said. “Her knowledge, strategic thinking and leadership ability will be essential in helping Frootfal realize its enormous potential in the US market and globally.”

Ms. MacDermott has accepted her appointment as Executive Chairman effective today.

About Frootfal

Frootfal delivers an innovative new search based, on-line shopping service delivered via a non-intrusive “app” resident on any PC with other on-line devices to follow. The new UK service searches a real-time deal database that normal search engines do not access, and only provides relevant offers from safe and secure pre-screened merchants. The company plans to launch its services to the US audience in Q2 of 2013. The commission paid to Frootfal for sales made through the App is returned in large part to its members (the shopper) either as cash-back or through other member benefits; the retained portion comprises its operating margin which is shared with its distribution or download partners.
