I do not agree that NewSQL vendors focus on giving scale-out features to transactional data. The NewSQL market is focusing on giving true ACID support combined with extreme performance, stepping away from the traditional relational structures in databases. A lot of developers appreciate the ease of accessing data using SQL and I think we will see more and more databases supporting standard SQL. As you said - NewSQL databases often maintain the...

CML HealthCare Inc. Receives OBSP Affiliation at Its Newmarket Imaging Clinic-Open House on February 2, 2013

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 02/01/13 -- CML HealthCare Inc. (TSX:CLC) (the "Company" or "CML"), a leading medical diagnostic services provider in Canada, is pleased to announce that its Newmarket diagnostic imaging clinic located at 17215 Leslie Street has been granted an Ontario Breast Screening Program ("OBSP") affiliation by Cancer Care Ontario. OBSP is a provincial screening program that offers important advantages to women. Their mission is to reduce deaths from breast cancer by delivering high quality breast screening to women in Ontario. Women aged 30 to 69 at high risk for breast cancer and women aged 50 to 74, with or without a family physician, can enroll themselves into the program and be screened for breast cancer. Women can book their own appointments and will receive a reminder in the mail when they are due for their next mammogram.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Ontario women. In 2012, it was estimated that 9,100 Ontario women would be diagnosed with breast cancer and 2,000 would die from the disease. In Ontario, it is recommended that women aged 50 and older have a screening mammogram, generally every two years.

"CML is proud to have yet another one of our diagnostic imaging locations selected as an OBSP affiliate. Including our Newmarket location, CML has 14 clinics with OBSP designation across Ontario. The designation of our Newmarket location will help improve OBSP access to women in the Newmarket-Barrie-Aurora area where wait times are currently anywhere from three to twelve weeks," said Thomas Wellner, President and Chief Executive Officer of CML. "Screening mammography is the most reliable method of finding breast cancer available to women today. By detecting cancer early, women will have more treatment options available to them. I encourage all women to follow the screening guidelines recommended by Cancer Care Ontario and enroll themselves in the OBSP program."

OBSP Open House at 17215 Leslie Street, Newmarket

CML's Newmarket diagnostic imaging clinic will be taking OBSP patients as of Monday, February 4, 2013. To educate women on the OBSP program and CML's services, there will be an open house on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 17215 Leslie Street, Newmarket, between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Patients will be provided with an educational package on breast cancer and the OBSP program, as well as a site tour of CML's mammography room. Certified OBSP technologists will be on hand to answer any questions on the procedure or the program.

CML's Newmarket clinic is conveniently located along a bus route and has free parking on site. For more information on the OBSP open house, please contact Andrew Lawson at 416-455-9196 or lawsona@cml.ca.
