Small Cell Last Mile Backhaul Solutions Development Examined in New In-demand Report by MRG Available at MarketPublishers.com

With mobile devices getting increasingly video and data centric, mobile operators are considering relatively new offload strategies. Small cells are being increasingly implemented into cellular networks. By end-2017, with the prevalence of outdoor metropolitan picocells, small cells are anticipated to have about 19% of the overall capacity of macro base stations. The nature of backhaul is changing too. The T1 lines that ruled telephony backhaul in North America are fading from the landscape. In 2009 and 2010, Verizon and AT&T got very busy installing fiber plants. On the other side of the globe, China Mobile started building giant metropolitan EPON rings. Microwave radios are still the most popular last mile backhaul medium, but by enв-2016, there will be more macro base stations connected by fiber than by microwave radios. New report “Small Cells Provide New Opportunities in Last Mile Backhaul” developed by Multimedia Research Group, Inc (MRG) discusses the changing landscape of cellular networks, providing a comprehensive counting of small cells (including femtocells) and last mile backhaul for both small cells. Each of the small cell form factors – femtocells, enterprise femtocells, indoor femtocells, outodoor metropolitan picocells, and microcells – is analyzed and forecast based on new shipments, retail device value, and the installed base, with each value showed by airlink. Last mile backhaul for small cell and macro base stations is presented in the report by access points shipped, last mile CAPEX costs for mobile operators, installed base, and total capacity. Further, the study is enriched with forecasts for 2011-2017 are broken down by data for North America, Europe (Eastern and Western), Central and Latin America, Middle East and Africa, and the APAC.
