2014 U.S. Figure Skating Championship Coming to TD Garden Tickets On-Sale Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM

BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/24/13 -- The Organizing Committee of the 2014 U.S. Figure Skating Championships and representatives of Boston's TD Garden announced today that all-event ticket packages for the 2014 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships will be on sale at the TD Garden Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets beginning Saturday, January 26 at 11a.m. The championships will be held January 5-12, 2014, at the TD Garden and Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC).

The 2014 U.S. Championships are the final qualifying event prior to the selection of the 2014 U.S. Olympic Figure Skating Team, and Team USA's members will be announced at the conclusion of the championships. Team members will represent the United States at the XXII Olympic Winter Games, to be held in Sochi, Russia, February 7-23, 2014.

Held since 1914, the annual event is the nation's most prestigious figure skating event, with past winners including Michelle Kwan, Kristi Yamaguchi, Scott Hamilton, Evan Lysacek, and Massachusetts natives Nancy Kerrigan of Woburn and Todd Eldredge of Chatham. Champions will be crowned in 20 events: ladies, men's, pairs, and ice dancing at the senior, junior, novice, intermediate, and juvenile levels of the U.S. Figure Skating competitive structure.

The U.S. Championships are returning to Boston for the seventh time in the event's history. Boston also hosted the championships in 2001, 1962, 1941, 1931, 1926, and 1922. The 2001 event set a record for attendance at the U.S. Championships.

The 2014 U.S. Championships will be broadcast live on NBC Sports and online at icenetwork.com. The 2013 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships are slated for January 20-27, in Omaha, Nebraska.

All-event ticket packages provide admission to all events during the eight days of competition, including the championship weekend ladies, men's, pairs, and ice dancing free skate finals. Each all-event ticket also includes a reusable pass for admission to all practice sessions at both TD Garden and the BCEC. Practice passes will not be sold individually and are only available as part of an all-event ticket.
