SANTA MONICA, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/23/13 -- Legend Group Records www.LegendGroupRecords.com, has signed an overall recording contract and multi-media merchandising deal with The ATOMIX, www.TheAtomix.com a new collaboration between multi-platinum award winning engineer Tom Fletcher, along with studio and touring sensations, Mico Olmos and Patrick Caccia.

"We are very excited to introduce The ATOMIX to the public and are confident they will quickly garner fans and praise as their members are very schooled in the interworkings of creating a successful artist," said Legend Group Records label President Houston Curtis. "We are thrilled to be collaborating with some of the biggest names behind some of the biggest superstars in music and are confident they will surge into the mainstream."

"I believe that teaming up The ATOMIX with Legend Group Records is recipe for platinum level success. Not only is the debut album, A Perfect World both a sonic and musical masterpiece, but the group's ability to work as a production team for the Legend Group's amazing roster of new artists like John Spicer will result in rock, pop and country music's version of what producers like Dr. Dre or Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis have brought to hip hop and R&B," said Dave Weiderman, Head of A&R for Guitar Center and Executive producer of "In A Perfect World."

Described as a mix between "Genesis meets Tom Petty," The ATOMIX previewed several tracks from their debut album "In A Perfect World," tonight at Infusion Lounge at Universal City Walk. Special guest John Spicer, a fast-rising country artist opened with an acoustic performance.

Twenty-one year-old Spicer has been playing the guitar since age 4 and also plays banjo, dobro, mandolin, fiddle, harmonica, lap steel, bass guitar and piano. John has played sessions with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, George Clinton, National Recording artists Elvis Monroe and has also performed at LA's famous Jazz club The Baked Potato. John endorses Evertune bridges and has been invited to play at NAAM on Fender's official artist roster. Additionally, he was recently invited by Guitar Center's Dave Weiderman and famed rock photographer, Robert Knight to join Knight's illustrious new endeavor, The Brotherhood of Guitarists. John will head to the studio in March 2013, to begin recording his debut album as a new Legend Group Records recording artist.

"John is that once in a lifetime kind of artist that you always hope to discover," said Curtis. "His songs about life speak way beyond his years and are only rivaled by his incredible voice and unprecedented musical ability. In other words, The boy can play!"

"When Houston introduced me to John Spicer I instantly became one of his biggest fans. Not only will music fans everywhere fall in love with his singing and songwriting, but I believe John to be one of the hottest upcoming country guitar players in the world today," added Guitar Center's Dave Weiderman, who introduced Spicer and Legend Group Record's President, Houston Curtis to The ATOMIX.
