Alan is a technology veteran who has worked at some of the industry’s leading companies such as Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) and IBM (NYSE: IBM), as well as several disruptive startups in networking and software technology, including Nicira, Airespace and Tahoe Networks.

Most recently, Alan was the VP of Marketing for Nicira, through VMware’s (NYSE: VMW) purchase of the company for $1.26 billion. Prior to that, he spent over 6 years as Cisco, including VP of Enterprise Solutions, leading a marketing and solutions portfolio that represented over half of Cisco’s revenue.

Alan’s earlier professional experiences including management and executive roles at U S WEST and Coopers & Lybrand. He is a graduate of the New York University Stern School of Business, American University’s School of International Service and SUNY Buffalo.
