I do not agree that NewSQL vendors focus on giving scale-out features to transactional data. The NewSQL market is focusing on giving true ACID support combined with extreme performance, stepping away from the traditional relational structures in databases. A lot of developers appreciate the ease of accessing data using SQL and I think we will see more and more databases supporting standard SQL. As you said - NewSQL databases often maintain the...

PixelMags Launches Readr(R) Newsstand With Revolutionary New Advertising Delivery Platform

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/16/13 -- PixelMags, one of the largest digital content delivery companies in the world, has launched the next generation of digital magazines newsstands called Readr® which gives consumers instant access to hundreds of magazines, along with AnyTime® -- its new, all-you-can-read for one low monthly price, feature.

"To date, the PixelMags platform has reached millions of readers and we're confident that millions more will discover our publishers' content in the very near future with the launch of Readr," remarked Ryan Marquis, founder and COO.

Readr launched with a patent pending technology called AnyTime. With the flick of a switch, AnyTime allows consumers to discover content with seven days of free reading time at launch of the App, and 20 minutes of free reading per month thereafter. During or after the free AnyTime reading period, consumers can upgrade to an AnyTime Unlimited plan for a monthly fee of $9.99. This allows consumers to read as many titles as they want for as long as they want.

"Within Readr, we've developed a dynamic new way for advertisers to reach millions of consumers. This is next generation tablet advertising at its best," remarked Kim Haskell, president of PixelMags. "The time was right to build a newsstand with both the publishers' and marketers' needs in mind. With our outstanding technology and digital expertise, we've developed a completely new way to reach this highly sought after mobile audience. We now have the ability to serve interstitial ad messages to a captive audience in a way that's never been done before," Haskell continued.

Adplayerz is the advertising sales firm marketing the PixelMags Ad Network in the USA. They sell all in-content advertising, along with pre-launch interstitial HTML5 and video advertising on a CPM basis.

"We all know that more and more advertisers are looking to maximize the user engagement by advertising on tablet devices. PixelMags, with their new 'AnyTime' platform, offers unique in-app advertising opportunities to reach engaged consumers at pre-launch with HTML5 and Video Interstitial ads delivering advertising messages prior to the launch of branded content during the free AnyTime reading period," remarked Jeffrey Eisenberg, CEO of AdPlayerz. "Nobody else in this space is doing anything like this," continued Eisenberg.

PixelMags has millions of unique iPad owners reading magazines using this powerful PixelMags technology. They have also just launched over 300 titles on Kindle Fire, and later this month, PixelMags is launching BlackBerry Newsstand on BB10 smartphones.
