The NewSQL market is focusing on giving true ACID support combined with extreme performance, stepping away from the traditional relational structures in databases. A lot of developers appreciate the ease of accessing data using SQL and I think we will see more and more databases supporting standard SQL. As you said - NewSQL databases often maintain the...

Salus Global announces leadership change as company continues to grow

LONDON, ON, Jan. 15, 2013 /CNW/ - Salus Global Corporation today announced that Dr. Ken Milne has completed his term as President and CEO and has moved into a senior executive advisor role to lead key development projects as the company continues to promote a culture of safety in healthcare around the world. As a prominent obstetrician with a passion for patient safety and professional development, Dr. Milne developed the ground breaking MOREOB Program more than ten years ago. Today, implementation of the MOREOB Program has resulted in a significant reduction of adverse events as well as a measurable reduction of insurance costs and claims.

"We would like to thank Dr. Milne for his vision and leadership and are thrilled that Ken has agreed to continue his mission which will certainly have a positive impact on Salus Global Corporation going forward" stated Peter Flattery, Chairman of The Board. As a result of Dr. Milne's efforts and the 'MOREOB effect' having been realized Canada-wide and in other parts of the world, his place in history as a health care visionary and innovator is assured.

Dr. Milne expressed his gratitude and went on to say "I feel very fortunate to have been able to work with a dedicated and passionate group of people, who are committed to helping health care providers and institutions work together in collaborative teams to achieve the goals of a safety culture." He went on to state that he will remain "fully committed" to building and promoting a culture of safety in healthcare around the world.

Malcolm Eade has assumed the role of President and CEO of Salus Global Corporation. "With the appointment of Malcolm and the retention of Ken, our business and leadership team is now stronger than ever. Salus Global Corporation is well-positioned for success going forward as we continue to build on our legacy" said Mr. Flattery. The company has been steadily expanding its senior leadership in recent years, and today's announcement continues this evolution.

Mr. Eade is a strategic leader with a commitment to excellence that has extensive experience in healthcare across a variety of disciplines. After a sixteen year career with Johnson & Johnson where his last role was Vice President and General Manager, he went on to hold senior executive positions with The Canadian Medical Association and Allergan Canada. "With his strong record of success in building long-term sustainable results for very large health care companies, we are fortunate to have Malcolm on board as we enter a new growth phase" added Mr. Flattery.

"I will be working side by side with Ken to ensure that a smooth transition occurs and am very excited about the opportunity to work with such a great team. I look forward to building on Ken's legacy as we accelerate our growth and expand the presence of our programs across all healthcare enterprises" advised Mr. Eade.
