SParikh wrote: This article speaks true to the importance and capitalizing of the cloud. Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

Hara Recognized as Energy Management Software Specialist in Independent Research Report

SAN MATEO, Calif., Jan. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Verdantix, an independent analyst firm, has recognized Hara as an Energy Management Software Specialist in their report: Green Quadrant® Energy Management Software (Global) 2013.

The Green Quadrant® report compares 14 enterprise-class energy management software applications to help corporate buyers save time, reduce cost and mitigate risk in supplier selection. The report also reveals that as corporate energy management and sustainability programs mature, spending on energy management software solutions is projected to increase. The definition of the energy management buyer is expanding as well. As the report states, companies such as Hara understand that the strategic energy management value proposition appeals to CFOs and line-of-business managers as well as facilities and operation managers.

Hara is recognized in the report for providing "a data-centric approach to energy and resource management." The application is designed to "resolve multiple inefficiencies in the entire energy and resource value chain through data aggregation and analytics."

The report continues, "Hara scored highest amongst its peers for energy reporting and analysis, with best-in-class scores for voluntary reporting and the quality of its dashboard, and achieved high scores for master data management, security and data audit, and carbon reporting and analysis."

According to the report, for companies with "increasingly squeezed budgets seeking energy cost reductions" or "little to zero visibility of current energy consumption and spend" Hara's solution provides "strong energy budgeting and planning capabilities" and "robust data capture."

"The market has evolved, and global businesses today are doing more than just collecting energy data," states Rodrigo J Prudencio, CEO, Hara. "They are analyzing that data at the enterprise-level, and making strategic decisions about how to optimize their energy and resource use. These decisions impact business operations, and also tangibly influence relationships with customers and suppliers."

"Hara continues to evolve our automated data collection and analysis capabilities, which help companies realize the value of their investment in energy management software quickly," continues Prudencio. "We appreciate further recognition as a seasoned leader in a complex software market – it is a testament to the important work that we engage in with our global customer base every day, helping them manage over $3.45 billion in energy spend."
