Profitect to Lead Session on "Big Data, Predictive Analytics, and the Bottom Line" at NRF 2013
Retail industry leaders from Ascena Retail Group, Citi Investment and Supply Chain Insights to discuss strategies for improving the top and bottom line.

WALTHAM, Mass., Jan. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Profitect announced today it will host a Big Ideas session at the National Retail Federation's (NRF) 102nd Annual Convention and EXPO. The panel will bring together industry thought leaders to discuss how big data and predictive analytics makes it easier for retailers to identify and resolve margin expansion and inventory distortion opportunities. The Big Ideas session will take place Monday, January 14 at 11 a.m. in room 3D04, Expo Hall Level 3 of the Javits Center in New York City.

The panel, entitled "Big Data, Predictive Analytics and the Bottom Line," will be moderated by Guy Yehiav, CEO of Profitect, with perspectives from:

  • Brian Bazer, AVP Loss Prevention and Risk Management, Ascena Retail Group/Dressbarn Division
  • Lora Cecere, Founder and CEO, Supply Chain Insights; Co-Author, Bricks Matter
  • Deborah Weinswig, Managing Director, Citi Investment Research

Profitect will also have ongoing demonstrations of its Profit Amplification Suite in booth #2381, where company executives will discuss how its pattern-seeking predictive analytics technology can identify root causes that impact upstream and downstream store operations.  Automatic actions will guide retailers step by step to quickly improve the top and bottom line.  This resulting efficiency of managed tasks and reduced associated labor costs will enable stores to improve customer service, combat showrooming, increase same store sales, and improve other critical Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).

"Retailers are beginning to understand how pattern technology, big data, and predictive analytics makes it easier to identify and resolve margin expansion and inventory distortion opportunities, resulting in increased same store sales," said Guy Yehiav.  "Profitect's visually-guided analytics use easy to configure patterns which direct retailers to the opportunities, rather than having to search for them, guiding them through the solution, increasing revenue and margins quickly."

About Profitect
Profitect's profit amplification software enables retailers to quickly discover and actualize untapped growth and profit opportunities across the entire value chain.  Increased revenue and reduced costs are achieved by identifying opportunities with intelligent, prioritized actions across the entire retail organization, providing scalability, sustainability, and accountability.
