Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

The Most Bizarre Things People Are Doing to Sell Homes

NEW YORK, Jan. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- With more than one million listings, RealtyPin.com is home to all kinds of promises from realtors and sellers alike. But since the nation's housing market is slowly-but-surely starting to gain momentum, those tried-and-true measures of old aren't always enough to sell homes. So, some sellers are going to extremes to grab buyers' attention. Here are some of the most bizarre things we've seen floating around the world wide web:

News: The December jobs report and the housing market

1.  Making homes feel like hotels
If you're looking for a condo – and the standard variety just doesn't seem luxurious enough – some buildings in Los Angeles and Miami have a solution for that. Now, in addition to the traditional doorman, you can get things like room service, housekeeping, and even a full-fledged spa. It's like living in a resort 24/7!

2.  Taking green to an extreme
Energy efficiency has been a popular selling point for years, but some sellers are taking it to new levels these days. According to a recent study, spending on green technology is expected to surpass $114 billion by 2016. Already, though, high-end sellers are using high-end technology to their full advantage. How so? Instead of stopping at better insulation or better windows, they're creating complete "smart homes". These homes are completely automated and linked to the owners' smartphones and tablets, so that they can control everything with the tap of a touch screen – from anywhere. These smart homes aren't just cool to play with, though. They're actually designed to be a whole lot more energy efficient than their traditional counterparts. In fact, by being able to control the entire house from your smartphone or tablet, you never have to worry about the air conditioner turning on when you're not home or leaving the lights on when no one is there to actually use them.

3.  Giving Fido the lap of luxury
It's no secret – Americans love their pets! And now, the real estate market is putting a big emphasis on man's best friend. At some of the high-end condo developments in New York City, you won't just find pet-friendly places. Fido will actually get his own entrance, his own room service menu, people to groom him, and even a staff to help him clean up after a trip outside to go potty. And, just to make sure that Fido's social life is as active as yours, there is a complete system in place to arrange for doggie play dates! Is that enough of an incentive for you to buy?

Who says today's housing market had to be boring?!
