Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

OCEG is pleased to announce the appointment of three OCEG Fellows, each of whom is a well-respected contributor to the body of knowledge that OCEG has developed over the past ten years addressing the value of integrating governance, risk and compliance (GRC) as a capability to attain Principled Performance.

“Each of the individuals appointed as new OCEG Fellows for 2013 has offered insight and support that has enabled OCEG to serve our global membership community by developing standards, educational materials and other content that organizations of all types and sizes may use to improve GRC capabilities,” said OCEG Co-Founder and President, Carole Switzer, as she made the announcement of the new appointments.

Professor Constantine Konstans, the founding executive director of the Institute for Excellence in Corporate Governance at the University of Texas, Dallas, has developed graduate level curriculum around the OCEG GRC Capability Model, which he has taught for several years now with great success in training future corporate managers and executives. Together with Professor Suresh Radhakrishnan, he also has provided analysis of OCEG GRC Maturity Survey results and Professor Konstans continues to offer perspective to OCEG as the understanding of GRC capability needs grows.”

Jason Mefford first joined OCEG as a representative on our Leadership Council while he was serving as the Chief Audit Executive of Ventura Foods,” Ms. Switzer continued, “and in his current role as a professional trainer and executive coach with his new company, Mefford Associates, he continues to support OCEG by both teaching and overseeing our GRC Fundamentals and GRC Auditing seminars around the world.”

Jose Tabuena, who recently joined Orion Health as its Chief Compliance Counsel, also has been involved with OCEG for many years and was an active participant in the development of the OCEG Red Book GRC Capability Model,” said Ms. Switzer. “Jose is a passionate and knowledgeable speaker on GRC and a strong advocate of OCEG’s goal of Principled Performance for companies and organizations of all types and sizes.”

“We are very pleased to have these three thought leaders join our esteemed group of OCEG Fellows who will be continuing in the role for 2013,” said OCEG Co-Founder and Chairman, Scott Mitchell, “and we look forward to working with them all as we continue to refine and grow both the concepts and tools for GRC and Principled Performance.”

ABOUT OCEG

OCEG is a nonprofit think tank dedicated to helping organizations reliably achieve their objectives, while addressing uncertainty and acting with integrity. This is what OCEG calls Principled Performance, and it is a goal that every organization can achieve by integrating and aligning their approaches to the governance, assurance and management of performance, risk and compliance. Processes for achieving that integrated approach, commonly called GRC, is supported by the open source standards set out in OCEG’s Red Book GRC Capability Model. The companion set of agreed upon procedures set out in OCEG’s GRC Assessment Tools (the Burgundy Book) provide an opportunity for self-assessment and OCEG certification of the design and operation of an organization’s entire GRC capability or aspects of it as they are matured over time. OCEG offers hundreds of resources, online and live training opportunities, and a community within which individuals can continually build their skills and organizations can collaborate.
