NEW YORK, Jan. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- South African Diamond and jewelry brand King Crown set up its operation in China in 2012 with a local Chinese brand, "Hao Guan". To support its development plan in China, the company has just promoted Rose Yu to executive vice president of Operations for China to oversees overall supply chain management and service operation within the greater China region. An additional executive promotion announced today was given to Linda Ao, now vice president of Business Development for China. Linda has extensive experience in luxury retailing industry in Japan.

King Crown stated that the new executive team appointments were made in support of the company's priority to build upon its independent sales and service operation in China. "Our goals for 2013 are simple, but aggressive – and we need the right management team leading its execution," said Hanchee Zheng, the founder and managing director of King Crown. "These individuals are exceptional at what they do and we are confident that they will lead our company and our sales channel to new levels."

King Crown recently stated that it has just established its import operation office in the Shanghai Diamonds Exchange (SDE), and has developed close partnerships with more than eight mainstream commercial banks in China. Meanwhile, King Crown has also formed partnerships with several influential online luxury retailers to distribute its various diamonds and jewelry products. The company will focus on the markets of Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Shanghai regions in 2013.

Rose Yu, the newly appointed executive vice president of Operations for China added that King Crown would introduce new jewelry designs in its direct sales channel beginning on Feb 1 for the upcoming Chinese spring festival season. King Crown sources its diamonds from different regions in the world, mainly from South Africa, Israel and Belgium. "Our South African team will work closely with us to bring more high quality diamonds into China market," Rose said. "And we will mainly focus on colored diamonds and large-sized diamonds."
