Niklas Bjorkman wrote: Firstly I agree with your conclusion. NewSQL takes the best of the traditional databases and NoSQL databases to combine the benefits of both worlds. I do not agree that NewSQL vendors focus on giving scale-out features to transactional data. The NewSQL market is focusing on giving true ACID support combined with extreme performance, stepping away from the traditional relational structures in databases. A lot of developers appreciate the ease of accessing data using SQL and I think we will see more and more databases supporting standard SQL. As you said - NewSQL databases often maintain the...

International Traveling Snowman Enjoys Extended Stay at Luxury Tampa Accommodations
Rescued Snowman Spends Time Enjoying Hotel Services, Local Sights

TAMPA, FL -- (Marketwire) -- 12/27/12 -- The bright Florida sunshine was no problem for an international traveling snowman that recently experienced an extended stay in stylish hotel accommodations in Tampa, FL, much to the dismay of his traveling partner.

Found alone in a vacated guestroom at Tampa Airport Marriott, the snowman was rescued by an attentive housekeeper and from that point the stuffed character could be seen enjoying an exciting Florida vacation filled with sunshine while hotel personnel worked diligently to locate its owner. Belonging to a young child traveling with parents to North Carolina, the snowman was reported as "found" to its "lost" family on October 29 and even after making a whirlwind tour of the sights and enjoying some time basking poolside, the character arrived in North Carolina before its owner.

Capturing the snowman's vacation experiences, Christine Horner, senior manager of rooms operation at the Marriott's Tampa accommodations, put together a book titled "How I Spent My Vacation...Snowman's Vacation in Tampa" to accompany the fluffy character back to its owner. Photos of the crocheted and happy snowman were taken of him working out in the hotel's well-equipped 24-hour fitness center, near the oranges and apples and with a box of Rice Krispies and ice cream in the Marriott's Café Elise restaurant near Tampa Airport and even enjoying some rays of sunshine on the well-manicured deck of the hotel's refreshing outdoor pool.

After a few correspondences with the young traveler's mother and an address was obtained to their next destination, the snowman was prepared for travel, and with memory book in tow, made it safely to North Carolina by November 1 where it waited patiently to be reunited with its owner. The family arrived on November 3 and the mother reported "a very happy" little girl enjoyed viewing the memory book, but more importantly having the snowman back in her possession.
