Bimba Adds 3D Entertainment Package and New Features to Online Configurator Powered by CADENAS PARTsolutions

MILFORD, OH and UNIVERSITY PARK, IL -- (Marketwire) -- 12/12/12 -- Bimba Manufacturing, a forward-thinking innovator of actuation technology, and CADENAS PARTsolutions, a global provider of 3D parts catalogs and online configurators for manufacturers, announce the addition of 3D functionality to Bimba's online CAD models.
Tom Wood, Director of Marketing for Bimba, said, "We continue to enhance our CAD model experience for our customers, both online and in-person, at tradeshows and events. This 3D capability now gives our customers an even more realistic way to experience our products so they can incorporate them into their overall design."
The CAD configurator allows all configured and generated CAD models to be viewed by Bimba customers in 3D. Once the model has been generated in the online configurator, users will see a 3D glasses icon in the upper left hand corner. The screenshot on the left shows the standard CAD Model. Clicking on the 3D glasses icon activates the 3D, which is shown in the screenshot on the right. Users, who have traditional 3D glasses, can see the difference below. If not, they can request a pair by clicking the "Get Your 3D CAD Glasses" button in the right hand column on the web page, fill out the form, and receive a pair of Bimba 3D glasses.
In addition to the online capability, Bimba incorporated CADENAS PARTsolutions 3D Tradeshow Entertainment package, which uses 3D to create a unique customer experience at events. The 3D package was introduced at the Semicon West tradeshow in San Francisco CA, with significant results.
