Steve Katz Joins Xceedium’s Advisory Board

Xceedium Inc., the leading provider of privileged identity and access management solutions for the hybrid cloud, today announced the appointment of Steve Katz to the company’s Advisory Board. As a member of the advisory board, Katz will utilize his extensive security experience to help Xceedium navigate the dynamic market and provide a nuanced understanding of the risk management issues that large enterprise customers face today.

“Steve’s track record speaks for itself. He has extensive experience in managing technology and information security risk for global organizations, but more importantly, Steve has his finger on the pulse of enterprise customers today,” said Xceedium CEO, Glenn C. Hazard. “Xceedium is a customer driven organization and we pride ourselves on bringing together the best and brightest. The addition of Steve to our advisory board will help keep us laser focused on the key issues and challenges that global customers are facing as they expand their use of virtualization, migrate applications to the cloud and address security and compliance across hybrid cloud architectures.”

Katz is a top-level business executive with over 30 years of extensive experience in executive-level management. In addition to recently helping to develop a new corporate-wide information risk management program for Kaiser Permanente, Katz is an advisor to the CISO Roundtable Network. In this role, he meets regularly with CISOs around the country to discuss key issues and share best practices. Katz is currently the owner of Security Risk Solutions, LLC., and previously held positions as the CISO of Citigroup and Information Security Officer at JP Morgan.

“As enterprises look to take advantage of the cloud, Xceedium has positioned themselves nicely as a leader in addressing the challenges of maintaining proper security controls and meeting regulatory mandates,” said Katz. “I see a lot of potential for the company and welcome the opportunity to work with Xceedium as it continues its impressive growth and maturation in the market.”

About Xceedium

Xceedium is the leading provider of privileged identity and access management solutions for hybrid-cloud enterprises. It vaults privileged account credentials, implements role-based access control and monitors and records privileged user sessions. With unified policy management, Xsuite enables the seamless administration of security controls across systems, whether systems reside in a traditional data center, a private cloud, on a public cloud infrastructure or any combination thereof.

Xceedium solutions enable organizations to comply with security and privacy mandates such as: PCI DSS, FISMA, HIPAA, and NERC CIP. The company’s products provide industry-leading reliability, availability, and scalability, and are the most highly certified products in the market with designations including FIPS 140-2 Level 2, Common Criteria EAL4+, and the U.S. DoD Unified Command Approved Products List (UC/APL).
