Cloudnine Group of Hospitals Delivers 12 Babies by Mid-day on 12/12/12

BANGALORE, December 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

In the frenzy over choosing fancy dates by would-be-parents, for the birth of their baby, Cloudnine Group of Hospitals announced that 12 Babies were born in total by mid-day at all its three centres at Jayanagar, Malleswaram and at Old Airport Road in Bangalore.

The concept of fancy date like a triple date of 12/12/12 had begun with parents knowingly or unknowingly conceiving in the month of March 2012 and those who are closer to the December 12th date wanted to have their baby born on a special date.

According to Dr. Kishore Kumar, CEO & MD of Cloudnine hospitals and also a Practicing Neonatologist & Paediatrician, "The perception that this date will not be available in the century again makes parents to opt for 11/11/11 or like for this year 12/12/12. However it is of utmost importance that the health of the mother and baby is to be considered at all circumstances.

Any pregnant woman who had a planned induction of labour or C-section for maternal reasons and their delivery date is close to a fancy date like 12.12.2012 - then we allow them to pre- or postpone by a day or two if it is having no adverse effect on the mother and baby's health. Sometimes we have by chance natural delivery too which comes as the surprise entry for all of us at the hospital and of course coincides with the fancy date."

About Cloudnine:

Cloudnine is a leading provider of maternity and infant care that offers gynecology, pediatric, woman care and fertility services under "Sure Fertility" in which it has a success rate of above 56% - one of the best in the world. Cloudnine has the distinction of having best in class morbidity and mortality outcomes - ZERO percent maternal mortality and 99.83% survival for babies despite them saving lot of babies as small as 500 gms and born as early as 24 weeks - similar to many developed countries.

Apart from maternal care, Cloudnine also ranks as the premiere institute for gynecology and neonatal care services in the city. Cloudnine has pioneered the concept of "celebrating" the entire journey of pregnancy and beyond by introducing several innovations in which the mother and newborn are treated as "NORMAL people" rather than "patients". Cloudnine centres are spread across the city in Jayanagar, JP Nagar, Old Airport Road and now in Malleshwaram as they gather pace in their ambition to set up centres of excellence across multiple cities in the country.

“Vote early and vote often.” Back in the 1920s and ’30s, when neither election technology nor oversight were as effective as they are today, and the likes of Al Capone were at work gaming the system, this phrase wasn’t a joke. It was a best practice. If you want guaranteed results, wh...
