TORONTO -- (Marketwire) -- 12/10/12 -- Toronto is already known as one of the friendliest cities in Canada -- and now it is one of the sweetest. With the unveiling of Toronto's tallest holiday gingerbread creation at The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto, 200 pounds of flour, 85 pounds of sugar, 20 pounds of spice, 26 pounds of egg whites, 51 pounds of butter and over 500 construction hours come together for a breathtaking display at the downtown Toronto hotel.

Featuring a replica CN Tower and measuring 17 feet tall, this sweet structure will be available for public viewing in the luxury hotel's main lobby until December 31st.

The giant gingerbread display isn't the only holiday offering at the 5-diamond Toronto hotel. Starting December 7th, DEQ Lounge will offer a long-standing Ritz-Carlton tradition with its Teddy Bear Tea. Featuring a child-friendly menu, cookie decorating and hot chocolate refreshments for the little ones, Teddy Bear Tea is available every Saturday and Sunday during the month of December. Children are encouraged to bring in their favorite stuffed friend to take part in the fun, and can also help support the hotel's toy drive in support of the Herbie Fund, by donating a new or gently used stuffed animal.

TOCA restaurant is offering a delectable Christmas Prix Fixe Dinner on December 24th and 25th, 2012, with a first seating at 5PM. The luxury Toronto hotel's signature downtown restaurant is also offering a festive Christmas Day Brunch from 11AM to 4PM.
