Moxie Software Unveils First Social Chat That Integrates with Facebook’s API

Moxie Software, Inc., the leading provider of customer-centric enterprise social software, today released a social chat application for customer sales and service that leverages Facebook’s API. Moxie’s new Engage+ App is now available with Chat Spaces™, giving companies, for the first time, the ability to access a consumer’s Facebook profile to deliver personalized offers and richer interactions.

Brands gain competitive advantage with Moxie’s Engage+ App for Facebook to:

  • Chat directly with consumers on Facebook;
  • Generate revenue with social engagement;
  • Convert a competitor’s fan into your customer;
  • Know when loyal customers ask questions; and
  • Create a personalized shopping experience directly on Facebook.

How It Works

Engage+ incorporates Facebook’s data and evaluates profile information consumers share, allowing brands to provide highly customizable offers. Through Moxie’s rule-based chat technology, brands can engage with a consumer visiting a brand’s Facebook page and proactively extend an offer based on the consumer’s Facebook profile information, such as name, gender and analytically calculated advocacy rank.

Once the consumer accepts an offer to chat with a brand, additional information about the consumer is made available to the representative, including age, friend count, interests, likes and any related competitor activity. With a greater understanding of a consumer’s digital persona, brands can deliver better experiences and increase revenue.

Moxie’s Chat Spaces with Engage+ App is immediately available, and additional details can be found here.

Comments about the news and the state of the industry:

Social commerce requires brands to use new technologies that meet the expectations of socially-connected consumers,” said Tom Kelly, president and CEO of Moxie Software.With our new social chat application, brands will have access to a consumer’s rich brand profile enhancing their ability to tailor services and offerings, and ultimately drive revenue. Our Engage+ App makes Moxie’s Chat Spaces the most powerful application in the market, building on our promise of using social technologies to bring companies closer to their customers.”

In the report issued last month about the “New Paradigm of Retail,” Forrester Research, Inc. vice president and principal analyst Sucharita Mulpuru noted, “Between 2000 and 2012, US online retail has grown from 2% of overall US retail sales to 8%. By 2016, online sales will top $327 billion in the US and nearly $1 trillion worldwide. Driving this trend are the convenience, selection, and value that the web offers, consumers with faster Internet speeds, and aggressive offerings from retailers.”
