Concierge Auctions Announces Yesterday's Live Auction Sale of an English Manor, Ideally Located Within North Carolina's Prestigious Lexington Country Club
7 bidders participated for the chance to own this 12-acre estate at an auction held in cooperation with eXp Realty of the Carolinas

LEXINGTON, N.C., Dec. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- An approximately 12,000-square-foot country manor nestled on 12 acres of lush landscape within the highly sought-after Lexington Country Club community, modeled after Winston-Salem's famous and historic Graylyn Estate, sold to the highest bidder yesterday at a live auction, Concierge Auctions has announced. Built with a combination of traditional detailing and state-of-the-art technology, the auction was held on-site at 908 Country Club Drive, where 7 bidders participated. The property sold in cooperation with John-Mark Mitchell of The John-Mark Mitchell Group / eXp Realty of the Carolinas. Mitchell also represented the buyer.

"This country manor is a special, one-of-a-kind home that deserved an equally unique buyer. Working with the Concierge team, we were able to identify the right person in less than five weeks, which was beyond impressive," Mitchell stated. "It was exciting to be a part of this auction, which yielded success for everyone involved. Concierge's expertise in the luxury real estate market is clearly top notch."

Concierge Auctions' global marketing campaign generated 2,064 website visitors from 47 US states (led by North Carolina, Florida, New York and Texas) and 41 international countries (led by Canada, Belgium, the UK and Norway). A total of 264 buyer prospects inquired with interest, and 7 bidders participated in the sale.

"The Concierge team was very pleasant and easy to work with. They gave me confidence the entire way through," stated the seller, Peggy Hinkle. "I have many great memories in this house and am happy that the new family will now make it their own."

Positioned behind a spectacular, 16-foot-tall gated entrance, 908 Country Club Drive is a two-story, stone-sided residence with six bedrooms, six bathrooms and ample living and entertaining spaces. Its grand entrance includes two alcoves decorated with murals of the African savannah. A great room with russet tiles, a movie theater with a state-of-the-art projector, a fitness studio, a Solarium and several unique spaces including a trophy room, a shooting gallery and a hidden gun room are only a few of its many amenities. Outdoors, the new owners can enjoy a large garden, a veranda, a pool and bubbling fountains. One attached and two detached garages easily accommodate up to 13 cars.

"This Lexington estate is a premier asset that fit perfectly into our criteria for auction – it's unique, beautifully crafted and geographically desirable, located within in one of the most prestigious country clubs in the South," stated Laura Brady, President of Concierge Auctions. "Following our recent successful sale of the historic 517-acre Rocky Creek Ranch in Charlotte, which produced the second highest residential MLS sale in the Charlotte area in the last four years, it's clear that North Carolina sellers are beginning to know our auction platform as a sophisticated choice to sell their most luxurious properties."
