Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

Fleetmatics Group Passes 300k Subscriber Milestone
Momentum continues as +17,000 customers benefit from industry-leading fleet management intelligence

BOSTON, Dec. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Fleetmatics Group PLC (NYSE: FLTX) announced that it now provides more than 17,000 customers with insights and analysis on the daily activities of more than 300,000 fleet-based vehicles around the world, as reported in its financial results ended September 30, 2012. Capturing approximately 32 million data points per day, the global provider of fleet management solutions for small and mid-sized fleet businesses (SMB) is helping business owners to easily and more effectively track and manage vehicles through more informed and timely business decisions. These solutions are marketed under both the Fleetmatics (www.fleetmatics.com) and SageQuest (www.sage-quest.com) brands.

"While there are one or two providers focused on long-haul trucking or other market segments that service 300,000 or more vehicles, Fleetmatics is the only provider we know to have attained this milestone by focusing on small- to mid-sized fleets," said Clem Driscoll of C.J. Driscoll & Associates, a marketing and research firm serving consumer and commercial markets for GPS-based products and services.  "This achievement is a testament to the burgeoning demand in the SMB market, as well as to the value proposition and effective go-to-market strategy Fleetmatics has developed to address this growing market segment."

Fleetmatics Group's fleet tracking systems use GPS satellite technology to provide real-time locations and record historical vehicle activity. The solutions are accessed through a cost effective Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery model that can be installed quickly and activated at a low cost. Its fleet tracking information can be accessed 24 hours a day by a smartphone app or through any internet connection. The technology is leveraged by a variety of industries that include HVAC, plumbing, construction, cable and telecom, waste/water, wholesale delivery and distribution.

"In today's challenging economic climate, small- and mid-sized business owners face pressures on many fronts. Fuel prices are on the rise; margins are slim; competition is fierce; capital is precious, so fleet owners are seeking every advantage," said Jim Travers, CEO of Fleetmatics Group PLC. "The rapid growth that achieved this milestone demonstrates that our GPS-based fleet management is easy to understand, reliable and, best of all, helps business owners reduce risk and so they can focus on making their operations better. We provide insights that measurably improve business decision making, enhance the bottom line and provide significant returns on a small investment."
