Niklas Bjorkman wrote: Firstly I agree with your conclusion. NewSQL takes the best of the traditional databases and NoSQL databases to combine the benefits of both worlds. I do not agree that NewSQL vendors focus on giving scale-out features to transactional data. The NewSQL market is focusing on giving true ACID support combined with extreme performance, stepping away from the traditional relational structures in databases. A lot of developers appreciate the ease of accessing data using SQL and I think we will see more and more databases supporting standard SQL. As you said - NewSQL databases often maintain the...

Crosstown Move is Latest Sign of Growth for Ramtex Incorporated
New facilities in Southern Los Angeles and Hangzhou, China are needed to keep up with the wholesale textile supplier's rapid growth

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- A year of outstanding sales for wholesale textile supplier Ramtex Incorporated has culminated in the opening of a new home base of nearly 80,000 square feet.  The facilities, located at 13812 S. Figueroa Street near the intersection of the 110 and 105 freeways in Southern Los Angeles, were needed to support the ever-increasing orders for wholesale fabric that Ramtex has been experiencing over the last several years.

Ramtex, which has supplied to manufacturers and jobbers who sell fabric by the yard for more than 15 years, has experienced a 17.5% expansion in its sales over the last year. In addition, Ramtex has also seen an increase in China to China sales and has opened a 2,000 square foot showroom in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province.

"It's been a fantastic year," said Danny Korori, president of Ramtex. "We're very grateful and would especially like to thank all of our amazing clients for their support over the years. It's really been a pleasure doing business with all of our customers. I wanted to take a moment to let everyone know how much we truly appreciate their business. Now that we're at this outstanding new facility, we'll be in a position to have deeper inventory and continue to introduce innovative new lines, and that's very exciting."

"Of course, we'll also miss Towne Avenue," Mr. Korori added, referring to Ramtex's former facilities. "We obviously had a lot of great times working in downtown Los Angeles. That's where we grew from the small operation I started in 1996 to what we are today. But now it's really time to spread our wings and we need a larger facility for that."

"We're also very excited by the new showroom in Hangzhou. We've been manufacturing in China for some time, and this allows us to take our growth directly to lots of new customers in China. Ramtex is a company devoted to being where the action is. China is so central these days to the textile business – and really all kinds of businesses – that I think being there will be a really important part of Ramtex's growth for the future," Mr. Korori said.

Companies and individuals interested in learning more about Ramtex's products and facilities can take a look at the company's website at www.ramtexinc.com, which includes a glimpse of some of the  company's exhaustive selection of textiles. Interested persons can also contact the company by phone at 877-672-6839.
