The Alan Gross Case: Three Years Imprisonment In Cuba And The Prospects For Improving U.S.-Cuba Relations

Ultimately he was convicted and sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment for "actions against the independence or territorial integrity of the state." Since then, Gross has lost more than 100 pounds, and he and his family say he has been denied appropriate diagnostic care and treatment for a growth behind his shoulder. Experts across the political spectrum agree that the detention of Gross is a major obstacle to improving U.S.-Cuba relations. Judy Gross, his wife, and their lawyer Jared Genser, will discuss the most recent developments in the case and the prospects for improving U.S.-Cuba relations during President Barack Obama's second term.
