Niklas Bjorkman wrote: Firstly I agree with your conclusion. NewSQL takes the best of the traditional databases and NoSQL databases to combine the benefits of both worlds. I do not agree that NewSQL vendors focus on giving scale-out features to transactional data. The NewSQL market is focusing on giving true ACID support combined with extreme performance, stepping away from the traditional relational structures in databases. A lot of developers appreciate the ease of accessing data using SQL and I think we will see more and more databases supporting standard SQL. As you said - NewSQL databases often maintain the...

Facilitator Article Explores Benefits of Wendy's Use of Corrigo Software
Restaurant Chain Uses Application to Manage Technicians

ALPHARETTA, GA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/27/12 -- An article in Facilitator magazine recently uncovered how the Wendy's Company is using Corrigo software to manage its facilities, to the benefit of Wendy's technicians and restaurant managers.

The article, which appeared in the October/November issue of the magazine, describes how restaurant chain Wendy's uses Corrigo software to monitor the efficiency of its technicians with an application that tracks all activities of a work order in real time. Facilitator is the official publication of the Restaurant Facility Management Association.

Corrigo's software allows Wendy's to keep tabs on the cost effectiveness of its internal technician workforce and ensure that restaurant managers get the service they need in a timely manner. The data is used to develop a scorecard for technicians, rating them based on twenty different metrics and enabling them to know the areas in which they do well and where they may need to improve.

As a company, Corrigo offers cloud-based solutions for restaurants and organizations with multiple facilities or field service industries, delivering reliable operational visibility, measurement and control. The company's Work Order Network allows for the more efficient dispatch and routing of technicians and vendors to take on a variety of tasks.

"With ever-increasing costs and the pressure to improve and control margins, it is not a 'nice to have' anymore, but a requirement for every facilities team to have access to detailed data so they can perform analysis on the drivers of repair and maintenance cost," said John Getha, Director of Facilities at Wendy's. "The Work Order Network provides Wendy's this data and gives us insight to better understand opportunities to modify or change equipment design, behaviors and/or providers and then to measure the impact of these changes."

The article was written by Sherleen Mahoney of Facilitator magazine, and Corrigo is mentioned on pages 26-28 of the issue.
