ITAMS Adds to its Growing Portfolio of Licensing Experts

LONDON, November 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

IT asset management and software licensing consultancy IT Asset Management Solutions (ITAMS) has appointed Eric Chiu, former Team Leader and Consultant  from Deloitte UK's Software Licence Services team as Principal Consultant to its enterprise licence management services division.

Chiu brings with him extensive knowledge of major vendor licensing issues and specialist experience gained through working on audit defence, licence compliancy and software asset management (SAM) engagements from Deloitte where he led a team of seven consultants.

Chiu's new role at ITAMS will focus on providing licence management advisory services to high profile enterprise clients. This will include assessing process maturity and improvement for clients, service design, and transitioning clients through a project phase to ITAMS' Enterprise Licence Management service (ELM 360).

Already having been successfully implemented in several organisations with 20,000 to 150,000 employees, ELM 360 leverages a decade of SAM expertise, utilising a shared services model underpinned by revolutionary catalogue-centric technology. Delivered on/off-site or through the cloud to complement in-house operations it enables enterprises to reduce risk, control costs and maximise existing capabilities.

"Eric is a strong fit within our team of licensing consultants. His skills will be crucial in driving future enterprise scale engagements," said Professional Services Director and Managing Partner Paul Sheehan.

Chiu added, "This is an exciting time to join ITAMS, one of very few long established specialist consultancies offering a unique yet proven approach to managing software entitlement and IT assets in large firms."

Chiu is one of several senior appointments made recently by ITAMS who are seeking to expand their consulting team, due to an increasing demand from both private and public sector organisations looking for advice and on-going services for software licence management.
