The court documents alleged that the defendant either knew or should have known of this dangerous condition and that the defendant failed to either take proper steps to remove this dangerous condition or to properly warn foreseeable users of those stairs that they were wet, slippery and dangerous.

The court documents went on to allege that as a result of slipping and falling on these negligently maintained stairs that were located on the premises of the defendant, the plaintiff suffered back injuries that required medical care and treatment. As a result, the plaintiff incurred damages that included medical costs and pain and suffering.
