Future Collegians World Tour (FCWT) Puts Junior Golfers on the Path to College Scholarships with 2013 Tournament

CLEARWATER, Fla., Nov. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Future Collegians World Tour (FCWT), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, announces the 2013 tournament schedule for January through May. The FCWT provides a venue of over 45 junior golf tournaments across the United States during the fall, winter, and spring.

Headquartered in Clearwater, FL, the FCWT has been conducting junior golf tournaments since 1996.  Junior Golfers from across the country and around the world compete in these tournaments to showcase their talent in hopes of attaining a college golf scholarship.  FCWT junior golf tournaments are recognized by the rankings of Golfweek and Junior Golf Scoreboard, as well as in the AJGA PBE.

January 12-13, players have the opportunity to play the FCWT Junior Golf Tournament at Reunion Resort in Reunion, FL.  Reunion boasts courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson and Arnold Palmer.  That same weekend, junior golfers on the West Coast can play the Half Moon Bay Course in Half Moon Bay, CA.  Golf Digest calls it "one of the best 18 holes in the country."  Half Moon Bay is the host site of the U.S. Men's and Women's Open Qualifiers.

The following weekend, January 19-20, the FCWT will conduct a junior golf tournament at Bayonet and Blackhorse in Seaside, CA.  Bayonet and Blackhorse is known as the best 36 holes on Monterey Bay.  The Golf Channel calls this course "one of the most impressive designs you'll ever see."

The last weekend in January the FCWT will conduct junior golf tournaments at both the Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park, AZ, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., and at Stonegate Golf Club in Poinciana, FL.  The Oaks Course at Stonegate is a Ron Garl-designed 18-hole par-72 course encompassing more than 7,000 yards with multiple tees for players of varied levels and was recently awarded by Golf Digest "Best Places To Play."

February kicks off at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL, and at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, CA, February 2-3, 2013.  From there the Tour moves to the Inverrary Golf Club in Lauderhill, FL, for a 36-hole tournament, February 9-10.

For President's Day weekend, the FCWT will conduct junior golf tournaments at Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa Barbara, CA, and at Harmony Golf Preserve in Harmony, FL.  The final weekend in February, the FCWT will conduct one of its longest running tournaments at the Plantation Inn in Crystal River, FL.

March kicks off at La Costa in Carlsbad, CA, and at Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, FL.  After a bye weekend (March 9-10) the Tour will conduct its inaugural junior golf tournament at Red Tail Golf Club in Sorrento, FL, March 16-17.  The weekend of March 23-24, the FCWT will conduct tournaments at both the Feather Sound Country Club in Clearwater, FL, and at the San Ramon Golf Club in San Ramon, CA.

April 6-7, 2013, the FCWT will conduct a junior golf tournament at Mission Hills Resort in Rancho Mirage, CA, on the Gary Player Course.  The following weekend, the FCWT will be at Yankee Trace Golf Club in Centerville, OH, and Orange County National in Winter Haven, FL.  The Golf Club at Yankee Trace has received multiple distinctions, including a 4.5 star rating from Golf Digest, Top 10 municipal courses in the country, and more.  Orange County National is listed as one of the Top 10 Courses you can play by Golf Magazine.

The FCWT heads to the Northeast for April 20-21, 2013, for a junior golf tournament at the Red Tail Golf Club in Devens, MA.  Also that weekend there is a new venue, the MetroWest Golf Club in Orlando, FL.

The last weekend of April, the FCWT will be at World Woods Pine Barrens Course in Brooksville, FL, and will make an inaugural trip to Michigan State University in Lansing, MI.  The regular season ends on May 4-5 at the Whistling Straits Golf Course in Sheboygan, WI.  The season-ending Tour Championship will take place May 24-27, 2013, at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
