Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

The Hollywood Reporter Sweeps National Entertainment Journalism Awards With Best Entertainment Publication, Best Website & Six Other Top Awards
THR Editorial Director Janice Min Receives LA Press Club's Luminary Award for Career Achievement

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hollywood Reporter swept the LA Press Club's National Entertainment Journalism Awards, taking top honors with the Best Entertainment Publication award as well as Best Website. The outlet's editorial director, Janice Min, was recognized with the prestigious Luminary Award for career achievement, while THR took six other awards in various categories.

Awards were presented at a gala event at the Biltmore Hotel in downtown L.A., where Jane Fonda was awarded with the LA Press Club's Visionary Award, presented by Robert Redford.

"For the past two years, we've worked tirelessly to bring readers the best of the entertainment industry. Last night, the THR team was recognized for its hard work and insistence on excellence," said Ms. Min. "We are so thrilled by this honor."

Added The Hollywood Reporter publisher and senior vp Lynne Segall: "THR is redefining entertainment journalism for a changing market. Last night, the LA Press Club showed just how successful we've been."

In an earlier statement, Diana Ljungaeus, executive director at the LA Press Club, noted that "Janice Min's turning around The Hollywood Reporter is nothing short of remarkable."

In addition to Best Entertainment Publication and Best Website, THR editor-at-large Kim Masters received the award for Entertainment Journalist of the Year.

THR senior writer Daniel Miller and news editor Matthew Belloni won Best Personality Profile in Print for their piece on Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom, "The Nerd Who Burned Hollywood." Miller also won in the business category for "Down the Rabbit Hole With Ron Tutor," an in-depth piece on the embattled business magnate-turned-movie mogul.

THR staff writer Gary Baum's "The 3,000 Mile Embrace," about the intersection of Hollywood and Washington, D.C., won in the category for features under 1,000 words, while senior editor Eriq Gardner won in the online/feature series category for "Hollywood Confronts SOPA Uprising."

THR's visuals team — creative director Shanti Marlar, photo director Jennifer Laski, deputy photo editor Jennifer Sargent, senior photo producer Carrie Smith and photographer Joe Pugliese — won in the non-portrait photography category for "Conan O'Brien."

For the past five years, the LA Press Club's National Entertainment Journalism Awards has been the leading barometer for quality reporting on the entertainment industry. While the 500-member LA Press Club has represented newspapers, journalists and editors of Southern California for more than a century, the club's various awards have a national reach.
