CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/16/12 -- ATCO Ltd. announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Nancy C. Southern as Chair to replace Ronald D. Southern effective December 1, 2012.

Earlier this year the Company announced Mr. Southern's intention to step down as Chairman prior to the 2013 ATCO Annual General Meeting.

Mr. Southern will continue to serve as a Director of ATCO Ltd.

Nancy Southern has served as Deputy Chair of ATCO since May 14, 2008 and President & Chief Executive Officer of ATCO since January 1, 2003. Previously, she was Co-Chair and Co-CEO from 2000 until 2003, Deputy CEO from 1998 until 2000, and Deputy Chair from 1996 until 2000.
