Marriott North Employees Contribute With "Jeans Day"

HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 11/16/12 -- When Hurricane Issac caused severe damage along the northern Gulf Coast of the United States in late-August 2012, it impacted thousands of families. The staff of the Houston Marriott North decided to do their part to help those victims -- with denim.

On September 1, 2012 this Houston airport hotel's staff and management paid $3 each for a "Wear Jeans to Work" Day. Over 40 staff members participated, and the proceeds -- over $500.00 -- were collected and put towards Hurricane Isaac relief. Specifically, the staff donated the money to Interstate Disaster Relief Fund. The program has been such a success, the team plans to continue their efforts to support those affected by Superstorm Sandy.
