Bounty Hunting the Pros in Weekly PKR Tournaments
Themed Days with PKR offer players the chance to win more & play with the pros

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 11/15/12 -- Bounty Wednesdays and Deep Stack Fridays attract online regulars and poker professionals alike to the biggest 3D poker site in the world - every week. Online poker tournaments are 'more than just live-play alternatives' according to PKR.

PKR.com is the link between the amateur and professional poker world for members who sign up to weekly events like Bounty Wednesdays. Team PKR Pro is the website's official squadron of top flight players, who take to this virtual game just like any other member, to practice their game, swap their stories and up their bankroll.

A spokesperson for PKR commented:

'Our themed events schedule makes every week exciting for us and we love seeing Team PKR Pro rubbing virtual shoulders with some of the young bloods on the site. Learning from the best in the game is how talent can be coupled with the much-needed experience it takes to make it pro.

'So for us, these tournaments are much more than just live-play alternatives - they are accessible by all and can help sculpt real careers out of fresh poker attitudes, which is properly exciting for us.'

Bounty Wednesdays

Basically, this Texas Hold 'Em competition with a twist attaches a bounty to certain runners in the field. Bust one of these players and you instantly receive a ticket worth at least double the bounty event's buy-in. It requires a predatory attitude and a sense of humour, as players look to chop each other out the frame whilst bantering in true PKR style.

Last week saw Sofia Lovgren, Scott Shelley and Vladimir Geshkenbein join the tournament; all three have competed at the World Series of Poker and World Poker Tour, where Lovgren famously bluffed all time poker legend, Phil Hellmuth.

Deep Stack Fridays

Get more chips for your money on a Friday and play the long game, as some depth is added to the stacks in 17 PKR tournaments. These comps are big and require a certain level of patience if you want to come out on top. With a variety of game types including Omaha Hold 'Em, it's a happy Friday for any taste (buy-ins start as low as $0.60, going up to $30).
