First National Insurance Agency Names New Managing Director and COO
Barbarita Brings 30 Years of Experience to Role

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- First National Insurance Agency, LLC, a subsidiary of First National Bank of Pennsylvania, has announced the hiring of Michael C. Barbarita as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer.  In this role, Barbarita will oversee the areas of Marketing, Risk Management Services and Bonds across the Company's three-state market presence that includes Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. Barbarita will be based at First National Insurance Agency's headquarters in Pittsburgh's North Shore.

"Mike Barbarita has extensive experience, and he is the perfect leader to direct operations for our growing Insurance affiliate," notes Vincent J. Delie, Jr., CEO, First National Bank and President and CEO, F.N.B. Corporation, the Bank's holding company. "His experience rounds out an already strong leadership team and paves the way for First National Insurance Agency to acquire market share across our business footprint."

Barbarita will report to Dwight L. "Whitey" Kollmeier, President, First National Insurance Agency.  According to Kollmeier, "Mike shares our vision for growth, and his leadership will enable us to deliver Risk Management and Bonds services to new market segments." 

Barbarita has extensive insurance brokerage and account management experience. Prior to joining First National Insurance Agency, he spent three decades with Marsh USA Inc. in a variety of capacities. Most recently, he served as East Central Partnership Leader with responsibility for offices in Ohio, Kentucky and Pennsylvania, and as Office Head for the company's Pittsburgh office.

A graduate of Robert Morris University in Moon Township, PA, Barbarita earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He also holds his Pennsylvania Property and Casualty Brokers License as well as Pennsylvania Life, Annuities and Accident and Health Licenses.

Barbarita's leadership extends into the community. Currently, he serves as a board member for the Robert Morris Board of Trustees, Laurel Valley Golf Club and Watson Standard Industries.  He is a past board chairman of the River City Brass and past board member of the Civic Light Opera, Girls Hope, the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and the Central Catholic High School Advisory Board.

Barbarita resides in Upper St. Clair, PA, with his wife Debra; they are the parents to two sons.
