Niklas Bjorkman wrote: Firstly I agree with your conclusion. NewSQL takes the best of the traditional databases and NoSQL databases to combine the benefits of both worlds. I do not agree that NewSQL vendors focus on giving scale-out features to transactional data. The NewSQL market is focusing on giving true ACID support combined with extreme performance, stepping away from the traditional relational structures in databases. A lot of developers appreciate the ease of accessing data using SQL and I think we will see more and more databases supporting standard SQL. As you said - NewSQL databases often maintain the...

The Prodigal Son Really Does Return
New Film Places Classic Tale in Modern Times

RALEIGH, N.C., Nov. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- It is one of the most recognized, revered and moving parables of all time, perhaps because it is one of the most grounded stories of humility, repentance and reconciliation to which virtually anyone can make an emotional connection. It is the parable of the Prodigal Son.

Now, in an endeavor to reconnect people to the story as never before, ProdigalFilm LLC, in association with Uptone Pictures, is setting the parable within a modern-day context, as they prepare to launch the production and release of the new film A Long Way Off, featuring Robert Davi (Die Hard with Bruce Willis, Goonies, James Bond License to Kill), Edie McClurg (Ferris Bueller's Day Off; Planes, Trains and Automobiles), John Diehl (Escape from New York, The Client, A Time to Kill, Pearl Harbor), Jason Burkey (October Baby, For The Glory, Lukewarm) and some surprise cameos in the film, including famous pollster Scott Rasmussen and some popular national Talk Show hosts.

Principle photography is set for Nov. 25–Dec. 15, 2012 in Raleigh, NC.

Available for interviews to discuss the movie, as pre-production enters the home stretch are executive producers, Jerry McGlothlin and Christy McGlothlin, and producer/co-director, Michael Davis.

In this 2000-year-old story, college grad Jacob is ready to shake off his father's religious business ethics and strike out into the world, poised to conquer it his own way. Surprised that his father actually obliges his request for an early inheritance, Jacob sets out for his own idea of fortune and fame, and proceeds to spend millions of dollars living the high life—only to find it come crashing down.

Bios on your guests, Executive Producers Jerry and Christy McGlothlin, as well as producer Mike Davis, and the entire cast are available at: http://talkguests.com/longwayoffprinciples.htm
