SParikh wrote: This article speaks true to the importance and capitalizing of the cloud. Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

VoxNet Named a Philadelphia 100 Fastest Growing Company by Wharton Small Business Development Center

VoxNet, an award-winning voice and Internet carrier services provider, is a winner of the 2012 Philadelphia 100, a prestigious designation that honors the 100 fastest growing, privately-held entrepreneurial companies in the Greater Philadelphia Region.

A first-time recipient of the Philadelphia 100 recognition, VoxNet ranked in the top 30 of the 100 winners, all of whom received their awards Wednesday, October 24th, at a dinner reception event.

“We’re incredibly excited to be named to this year’s Philadelphia 100,” said Bill Quinlan, VoxNet’s President. “It’s one of the Delaware Valley’s most celebrated entrepreneurial awards and speaks to the quality of our world-class solutions, the work our talented employees dedicate themselves to and the successful path our leadership guides us down. I look forward to continuing VoxNet’s positive growth with our customers, partners and employees in the years to come.”

The Philadelphia 100 is a merit-based recognition program started in 1988 by the Wharton Small Business Development Center (SBDC), the Entrepreneurs' Forum of Greater Philadelphia, and the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Companies nominated for the 2012 Philadelphia 100 list were invited to submit an application containing relevant company information. Researchers at the Wharton SBDC received the information and, based on the percentage increase in sales from 2009 to 2011, ranked the top 100 fastest growing companies.

VoxNet started with the goal of providing a simplified, customer-centric approach to carrier services by delivering competitive prices, simplified invoicing and a full turnkey customer experience, while offering a comprehensive range of cutting-edge communications solutions such as carrier-grade Ethernet services and Cloud-based phone systems. That goal has clearly resonated with customers, as VoxNet has grown exponentially each year since its inception, with 2012 poised to be the company’s biggest year yet.
