Palisade Corporation to Host Risk Conference in Las Vegas

Palisade Corporation, the provider of the world's leading risk and decision analysis software, @RISK and the DecisionTools Suite, will host the “Palisade Risk Conference,” on November 7-8, 2012 at Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The conference is part of Palisade’s seventh annual global series of risk conferences, with other events taking place in London and Sydney this year. The “must-attend event” for risk professionals will feature case studies from more than 20 industry experts who have utilized Palisade’s risk analysis tools to identify risks and their probability of occurring, through a method known as Monte Carlo simulation. Presentations will represent a wide range of verticals and topics:

  • Agriculture—Dr. Jay Noel, California Polytechnic State University
  • Energy—Basil Stumborg, BC Hydro
  • Engineering—Patrick Murray, HDR
  • Finance—Andre Lowe, Intel
  • Pharmaceutical—Chris Taber, Ikaria, Inc.
  • Risk Leadership—Keith Hornbacher, University of Pennsylvania
  • Supply Chain—Bin Liu, Cisco Systems

“The Palisade Risk Conference brings together a diverse collection of @RISK users and offers a unique glimpse into the many ways industry leaders are innovatively utilizing risk technology to solve its most difficult problems to advance their organizations,” said Randy Heffernan, vice president at Palisade. “With the release of Palisade DecisionTools Suite 6.0 earlier this year, the flexibility and capability of the technology is greater than ever, and has given users even more power to identify and quantify risk.”

The complete list of presentations for the Palisade Risk Conference is available at http://www.palisade.com/2012/Vegas/schedule.asp.
